Other Great Card Games

There are so many different card games out there, that I am surprised so few people have heard of anything other than Texas Hold Em Poker. I grew up going to summer camp and playing versions of 5 Card Draw and 7 Card Stud while at camp.

But as I have grown older I have learned newer games, and older games as well, but games that hold more of my interest. Really as a 12 year old there were only so many pennies you could bet before you got tired of betting with pennies.

Now I am into games like cribbage, and rummy, as well as black jack, but I am trying to focus on some more of the well known and obscure games that are played outside of casinos.

How to Create Your Own Variations

Many of the games that are played away from casinos have some major key to the game that keeps people playing them. Very few of the games I played were gambling games, but I know that they can be worked so that playing for money is possible. I personally like to gamble with these types of games, it is generally not for money but for some silly thing like who is going to make the beer run. This is extremely important after a long night of card playing and drinking.
